Architect / Project Coordinator

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Architect who displays a passion for design with experience in industrial, rail transit, and/or airport facilities. PGH Wong aims to deliver innovative and compelling project designs into the public sphere. We provide a wide range of architectural and engineering design services, project/program management, and construction management services.
Our cliental includes San Francisco International Airport (SFO), San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (Muni), Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART), California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA), Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), Valley Metro Rail (VMR), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

  • Be involved in all aspects of the project from design documentation through construction administration.
  • Set up and manage construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Lead design documentation process working with Project Architect, while balancing several projects simultaneously.
  • Provide technical oversight and coordination of project activities.
  • Review and coordinate engineering consultants' work.


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (BArch or equivalent) with 7-10 years of relevant work experience in Type II Steel Construction.
  • Experienced in both setting up and managing construction documentation in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experienced in contract administration including reviewing and processing of submittals and shop drawings, and responding to RFI's.
  • Proficient in Autodesk's Revit with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, and experience in coordination of engineering consultants.
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations, including ADA and Title 24 Energy Code
  • Strong technical aptitude, follow through and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • LEED AP with experience in LEED Online documentation process is a plus.
